Exhibition: 'Prayers answered. Mexican ex-voto collection 'in Seville Spain

OnSevilla. Until the end of February next year 2011 we will visit an exhibition in Seville Spain Mexican votive offerings at the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Seville in collaboration with the Association of Friends. The exhibition includes many pieces that Margarita Contreras and Luis Vicente Elías Pastor have collected over decades, based on an object that represents the gratitude to the deity and can materialize in many different ways. In this case, painted votive offerings are displayed, which can also be called retablo or miracle.

Where: Museum of Popular Arts, Plaza de America, 3 (Mudejar Pavilion).
When: through Sunday, February 27, 2011.
Hours: Monday closed, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 to 20:30 and Sunday from 9 to 14:30.
Cost: free for EU citizens and inputs to 1.5 euros for all other countries.
